Why Donate?

Each year, Gulf Coast High school drama puts on many productions as well as participating in District/ State festivals and is highly involved in the community. But, of course, we couldn't be able to do any of that without the help of our supporters. We raise thousands of dollars each year to help bring our students to events and put on shows for the community. This year, we set a goal for GCHDrama to reach the top of our thermometer chart and that's where we need you. These are some of the few accomplishments we have able to achieve thanks to generous donors-     

• 2023 - THE MAINSTAGE PRODUCTION  OF “MAMMA MIA!” WAS REMOUNTED AT THE STATES LEVEL ALLOWING GC DRAMA STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM IN FRONT OF 3,000 FLORIDA STATE THESPIANS
• 2022 - SELECTED STUDENTS WERE GIVEN SCHOLARSHIP IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN DISTRICT AND STATE COMPETITIONS
• 2019- ALL STUDENTS WHO ATTENDED THE DISTRICTS FESTIVAL RECEIVED THE 2 HIGHEST POSSIBLE AWARDS  AND RECEIVED BEST OF ROOM FOR THREE PIECES; AS WELL AS GETTING CRITICS CHOICE.   
• 2019- BOTH OF OUR PRODUCTIONS WERE REVIEWED BY BROADWAY STARS OF THE FUTURE. SEVERAL STUDENTS WERE THEN NOMINATED FOR AWARDS.  
• 2018- 4 STUDENTS  WERE NOMINATED BY  BSF AND HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM WITH TALENTED STUDENTS ACROSS THE STATE. 3 OF WHICH RECEIVED AWARDS   
• 2018- OUR PRODUCTION OF "HAIRSPRAY" SOLD OUT MULTIPLE NIGHTS. THIS ALLOWED FOR SEVERAL STUDENTS TO GO TO STATES WITH NO FINANCIAL STRESS LATER THAT YEAR.       

Without even knowing it, they allowed students to compete and become an overall better performer. These fundraisers and donations create a substantial difference in our productions and the ability to get involved with you. So come out and support the thermometer goal!
