Anything Goes is a musical that made its broadway debut November 21st, 1934, and was the longest running musical of the 1930’s. The show was revived in 1987, and again in 2011 which starred Sutton Foster, and became the most current version of the show. The show takes place on the “US Ocean Liner” and follows the lives of Reno Sweeney, Billy Crocker , Hope Harcourt, and Moonlight Martin. Reno Sweeney is en route from New York to England. Her best friend Billy Crocker has stowed away on the ship to gain the attention of his love, Hope Harcourt, but Hope is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Crossing over into this story is Public Enemy #13 a wanted gangster, and his sidekick Erma. With the help of some elaborate plans and tap-dancing. Reno and Martin join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart.
